I qualified as a children’s nurse in 1995 and started work as staff nurse in PED at Booth Hall Children’s Hospital for one year before moving to PICU at Pendlebury Children’s Hospital. I also worked at Alder Hey PICU for 12 months before returning to Pendlebury PICU as a Senior sister. I then worked as Practice Education Facilitator on the children’s ward at Leighton hospital and then returned to RMCH new children’s hospital as clinical educator for paediatric critical care. I then worked at Chester University as senior lecturer for pre-registration nursing. I returned to the NHS as lead nurse for the PCC & SiC ODN in August 2021.
