Clinical Lead Paediatric Critical Care ODN

Consultant Paediatrician – Royal Bolton Hospital / North West and North Wales Transport Service (NWTS)

Having undertaken undergraduate training in both St Andrews and Manchester, and postgraduate training in the North West of England, I have been a Consultant Paediatrician at the Royal Bolton Hospital since 2011. Within this role, I am paediatric critical care lead as well as paediatric simulation lead.

Since 2013 I have also worked as a Transport Consultant with the North West and North Wales Paediatric Transport Service (NWTS).

I have been an active member of the North West and North Wales Paediatric Critical Care Network since my consultant appointment. I have also contributed to a number of local, regional and national initiatives to evolve general paediatric, paediatric surgical and paediatric critical care services.

I’ve been co-clinical lead for the Paediatric Critical Care Operational Delivery Network since 2019.

My main clinical interests are the development of high quality district general paediatric critical care services and their interface with tertiary paediatric critical care and speciality teams.
