I am a Consultant In Paediatric Critical Care at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and was appointed in 2014.  Part of my role has been in driving our High Dependency Unit forward and I have been proud of its step wise evolution into the dynamic self-sufficient unit that it is today.

I am the joint clinical lead for the network and have been involved in its various guises soon after I became a Consultant.  I became deputy lead in 2017 and have also been proud to see the Network going from strength-to-strength in its more formalised role today.  I am particularly proud having been involved in changing the clinical lead structure to give a stronger voice to District General Hospital colleagues.

My interests in medicine including medical education, resuscitation and quality improvement.  Outside of medicine, much of my time is taken up walking an overly active golden retriever interspersed with (probably too many!) holidays!
