Clinical Lead-Surgery in Children ODN- Cheshire and Mersey
I am a Paediatric ENT surgeon at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. My aim within the ODN is to improve the care provided to children and young people requiring surgical intervention in the North West, North Wales and Isle of Man, by encouraging a culture of working together, collaboration and openness between health professionals and children, young people and their families. I have been a member of the Specialised Surgery in Children Clinical Reference Group since its inception and has been involved in developing specifications and guidance for specialised surgery including specialised surgery for hearing. I am also a member of Council for BAPO (the British association of Paediatric Otolaryngology), helping to produce guidance and educational events. I feel strongly in the principle of inclusivity and equity, and I am part of the ENT UK Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Forum, is a Governor of Alder Hey and is a Trainee Wellbeing lead.
I love working with spreadsheets and data (!!!) and in my spare time help to raise funds and awareness for a charity called Refugee Women Connect, watching TV and attempting yoga and running.
