Paediatric ODN National Collaborative LTV Competencies for Healthcare Professionals (Sign-off Document)

Please find attached the LTV competencies for health care professionals which have been developed by the Paediatric LTV ODN National Collaborative and adopted for use in the North West.

Staff from both tertiary centres have contributed to adapting these to ensure they are suitable for use across the North West.

The competencies include both a sign off document and a guide for the assessor to enable sign-off of the associated competency document to demonstrate a Healthcare Professional’s (HCP) competence to care for a child and young person requiring a tracheostomy and LTV as well as those requiring NIV on a long-term basis.
